The Five Minute Phobia Cure
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now?"
- Say out loud: "I want to get over this."
- Go through the first sequence:
- Side of hand
- Other side of hand
- Under the nose
- Under the lower lip
- Middle finger (right at the inside part of the nail)
- Other hand middle finger (the inside part of the nail)
- Outside edge of eyes
- Collar bones
- Go through the second sequence:
- Between your eyes
- Outside edge of eyes
- Under your eyes
- Under the nose
- Under the lower lip
- Collar bones
- Under the armpits
- Little finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Ring finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Middle finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Index finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Thumb on the inside
- Tap on the gamut spot while going through the third sequence:
- Close your eyes
- Open your eyes
- Look down to the right
- Look down to the left
- Roll your eyes in a circle
- Roll your eyes in the other way
- Hum a little bit any notes out loud (it should be a few notes)
- Count to five out loud
- Hum again
- Relax your face and relax your stomach
- Put your attention two inches below your belly button
- Inhale through the nose (the stomach goes out a little bit)
- Exhale through the nose (the stomach goes in a little bit)
- Do the breathing normally three times
- Go through the second sequence again:
- Between your eyes
- Outside edge of eyes
- Under your eyes
- Under the nose
- Under the lower lip
- Collar bones
- Under the armpits
- Little finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Ring finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Middle finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Index finger (on the inside, on the right hand)
- Thumb on the inside
- Relax your face and relax your stomach
- Breathe normally in and out through your nose
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now if any?"
- If you still have some, say "I want to get over this" and say "I can get over this."
- Go through the sequences again.
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now if any?"
- If you still have some, say "I want to get over this" and say "I can get over this" and say "I will get over this."
- Go through the sequences again.
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now if any?"
- If you still have some, say "I want to get over this" and say "I can get over this" and say "I will get over this" and say "I am getting over this."
- Go through the sequences again.
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now if any?"
- If you still have some, say "I want to get over this" and say "I can get over this" and say "I will get over this" and say "I am getting over this" and say "I am over this."
- Go through the sequences again.
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now if any?"
- If you still have some, say "I have resistance" and say "I'm ready to let go of resistance."
- Go through the sequences again.
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now if any?"
- If you still have some, right above your heart, take two fingers push and look for a spot that's a little bit tender.
- When you find it, rub it and say out loud three times: "I deeply and profoundly accept myself even if I never get over this problem."
- Go through the sequences again.
- Ask yourself: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the intensity of the negative emotion I'm feeling right now if any?"
- If you still have some, that's all you can do for that day.
If you still have any residual there, then you absolutely 100% have stuff that's keyed in that's much bigger than your ability to handle it alone. You need to have somebody else with you.
