I'm a new janitor. I've been told that moot has said things about what is allowed/disallowed on certain boards which aren't implied by the rules, as well as suggestions on how to deal with certain content. An example regarding NSFW images on SFW boards:<moots> dont ban request for nsfw<moots> just delete it<moots> unless the person is spamming or evadingI don't know what any of those things are and can't find a thread where they're archived. It seems like that would be a useful resource for new janitors. Have I convinced you to post moot's wisdom in this thread?
If you're in #janiteam we can always help. Our collective knowledge is better than any points of advice that one person can give you.
>moot>wisdomremember, it's not a job. don't ever let yourself get asspain'd, or the autists win.
>>1764I'm looking specifically for things like "X is allowed on board Y even though you'd think it's offtopic/spam/against rules"; these are things which I'd never think to ask about because otherwise I'd be asking about every little thing.
>>1775that's precisely what we want you to do, it's why we're in #janiteam
On, /p/ for example, the rules state you can only post photo's you've taken - but clearly we allow discussion about any photoIt's a SFW board, but we're generally cool with artistic nudes - everyone seems to get along
>>1777Alright. Regardless, it seems like those answers should be compiled somewhere. There's no need for questions to be asked and answered by and for each new janitor when they can all just be recorded.
>>1766I'm glad someone took notice of all of my MEME's.
