Hey all, noob here. I entered the IRC for the first time yesterday. Today I've been trying to get back in, joining the #janiteam channel. I've already registered my nick, but today when I enter /msg NickServ IDENTIFY <password>, it will either say, "Incorrect password" or "Nick not registered." I try to register again, but it says, "Email already has 1 registration." I'm stuck and I would appreciate some help.
You probably registered on a different irc client, I did that that an just went ahead and made a new nick and re-register on a different email.If it's your password you can reset it using REGISTER HELP, but if your nick isn't registered your password isn't going to work.

I used Hexchat. Now it will register me as Guest01256 if I register newly. I don't know why it isn't cooperating, it worked fine yesterday.
Now it says I've exceeded the number of connections for my IP. I'm frustrated because I know I'm doing it right, it's just being silly.

I have since resolved it. The web IRC is super simplistic. Look forward getting to know all of you:)
New Janitor here, make sure that you have OpenSSL running. I had that same problem earlier, but restarting OpenSSL and HexChat fixed it. Hopefully that will fix it for you too.
