Delete/ban it please. It's really shitting up the boards.Would be nice if we could get a template for it as well.Examples of /pol/ style shitposting:>good goy / good goyim>happymerchant.jpg>SRS>any kind of general baseless blaming of bad things on jews/minorities/foreigners/etc
>>2488Seconding the need for a "/pol/ shit outside of /pol/" template.
>>2489Thirding. Some boards very much need such a template, like /k/.
Fourthing. It's unfortunate really, because those A. Wyatt Mann comics used to make me laugh, but this kind of shit is getting to be too much and too genuine to not derail threads.
This would be perfect for /v/
/g/ too. The Intel/AMD/NVIDIA threads are filled with goy/happymerchant/shill shitposts. Not to mention "donglegate"... jesus christ
Need one for /vp/ too. People seriously believe that Iris is an example of blacks overtaking whites in the USA. Don't ask how that is supposed to make sense.
This is a global problem, it's pointless to ask for it on a by-board basis. Whenever 4chan creates a hazmat containment board, it should be a foregone conclusion that there will be spillover requiring a corollary '/@/ outside of /@/' rule to go with it. Or, you know, we could stop pretending containment boards aren't incubation chambers. Don't any of you play Resident Evil?
I completely agree. The Check your Privilege shit is spilling on to other boards as well.
>>2505I need sleep.Introducing this ban would need to be tactful though. Otherwise it would just feed the SRS/feminazi tinfoil hats since it means that we're sanitizing the site like good goyim for our NWO overlords. It's still a necessary addition though, just using global 3 is not enough since it's broad and vague.
I dont mind using the global three request in most cases, which is broad but covers "trolls" and "racism" and seems like the right template to use for now, given your examples. I do see posts like youve described, and also get quite a few posts reported where users have just been posting racist slurs and racist flames, and it doesnt always have a /pol/ feel to it, if you know what I mean. Its more like /b/ shit, and so its that 'Outside /b/' template I'll use in both cases usually. Its a fact though that alot of devisive political issues like race and gender permeate most sports. Its never too far away from Soccer in particular, which does take up quite alot of the boards discussion at certain times. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1406986/sheikh-abdullah-bin-nasser-al-thani-says-racism-behind-malaga-exit?cc=5739^ Youve got your racist complaints from team ownershttp://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22085707^ Your recently deceased center right politicians and their involvement in sportYou cant really avoid politics on the BBC's Sports main football page today, pic very related. And so it goes that we accomadate quite a bit of discussion about some political issues pertatining to sports. So anyway, if users start getting banned for "/pol/ shit outside of /pol/" on /sp/, it might just instigate more /pol/ type posting than there already is. You would have to be very careful using that template or it could quickly cause a backlash and create an influx of /pol/ threads disguised as sports threads, and thankfully there arent too many of these atm.Having flags avaliable here, and hosting content related to global sporting events, you do get your fair share of /pol/ derails and stupid nationalistic flame wars in threads. And when this happens Id prefer to keep using the global 3 rule on /sp/ in most cases, or just the off-topic template we already have and prune. It might just complicate things and create a whole new strand of complaints and shitposting.
>>2513All of that being said, It could be used for handling news & /pol/ related 'game' threads (which we've been clamping down on). It might help gett the message across that /sp/ isnt the place for that type of thing For example, some politically charged news story suddenly gets alot of rolling media coverage i.e developments in North Korea, and /sp/ will want to create a game style thread to follow the story as it develops. To say they can be persistent in attempting to start threads and talk about this crap on /sp/ would be an under-statement. It really has got to the point where any major news event breaks, you need to babysit it for an hour or so and try and encourage them to go to the relevant board (and often these boards are /pol/ or /b/). Still, The templates we have and deletions we make often work out just fine.
>>2514>It really has got to the point where any major news event breaks, you need to babysit it for an hour or so and try and encourage them to go to the relevant boardThis. Whenever a major news story breaks and I see it on the internet I know if I don't get behind a computer soon /sp/ will be covered in it.
>>2488Deleting every post that mentions jews or SRS will only incite more paranoia among /pol/ and confirm their suspicions of an SRS person infiltrating 4chan staff. I think the real trouble is pic related. It is a picture that is recipe for derailment. It was posted on both /tv/ and /sp/ tonight. Same file name, likely same guy.
