So, /jp/ has been making these trade/giveaway threads lately and some really nice stuff has come of it. They're communicating with each other and everything they've talked about has gone through, etc. Lots of friendly banter. They've set up a General where they decide what extra stuff they've got and can trade to other /jp/sies. It's all /jp/ related materials - games and whatnot.I've been overlooking them because they've been going REALLY well. I mean ... really well. They're all having a wonderful time and lots of stuff is being exchanged. Now, we're all supposed to be adults here, right? I see absolutely zero problem with these threads as long as they keep it to their one General. So I've been turning a blind eye to the reports. They're not asking for money and this is not advertising or a scam in any way. Just folks in a community exchanging things with other folks. What do?
Same as Buy/Sell/Trade threads in /toy/. There's no reason to step in and stop them. Try to keep them clean from shitposters as in http://fuuka.warosu.org/jp/thread/S10893085Patchy has hips~
>>2619Agreed. It's just /jp/ers trading /jp/ related merchandise among themselves. Nothing wrong with that, these kind of community events don't harm the board at all. If they abuse, take it outside of the thread, or start doing it for too long, then we could see if something should be done about them.
The threads are not worth protecting. Due to the heavy spam and constant foolish deletion/repost of OP trying to salvage the thread somehow, there is barely any actual activity right now that isn't shitposters trying to demolish it.It would be best if we could contact the OP so they stopped being such an easy target and take things down a notch for a while. Unable to do so, let's try if they get the hint after they notice that there are only 3 actual replies left once all the spam and meta is deleted. Don't have many options here.Let's just hope there can be exchange threads later down the line without more overreaction from our shitposter population.
>>2642Agreed. No need to really babysit 'em anymore. They've run their course.Might be nice to contact the OP and tell him we're not against his threads, but we can't devote all our time to one thread on one board. I think he did /jp/ a really nice service, but it's time to let it go. :3
http://fuuka.warosu.org/jp/thread/S10915774#p10915855BR all spam attempts, GiftAnon is delete on sight, pray that this shit campaign is forgotten by the time another person tries again. God forbid /jp/ has some fun outside of shitposting.
