There isn't a thread concerning /pol/, and as it is one of those boards that largely influences posts all across 4chan, I think there should be one.The current situation with the board is that the The Zimmerman trial has brought many users of /b/ on the board trying to replicate the culture. And believe me, fake /pol/iticians are a lot worse than the real ones. General discussion.
The main conflict of being a /pol/ janitor is: How do I allow /pol/ to be the Bastion of Free Speech and Expression while still using pruning methods to ensure that here is a modicum of quality on the board.It is the politically incorrect board after all, and there is a lot of off color content as you know, but being lax on it has grown it to where general racism is the norm. I'm just trying to keep everything with some semblance of political backing and of course current events.

I just try to keep watch out for the obvious bait - and it has to be REALLY obvious bait. People who want genuine discussion are fine, but I take the same approach to /lgbt/ that I take to any Gay Bar. You don't walk in with an "explain yourselves!" attitude if you want to stick around very long.
