Every once in a while a "cute dead girl" thread pops up on /c/. As the name implies, pictures of dead girls are posted. I know anything extremely bloody is guro and therefore not worksafe, but a lot of the images are "tasteful", where the girls depicted are not mutilated and such. Are these threads not worksafe simply because they depict death? They seem to get an equal amount of sages and bumps, so I am not even sure what /c/'s opinion is. What's yours?
>>
I don't see why death isn't work safe.
>>
I only browse /c/ occasionally, but I think it is solidly outside the realm of "cute."

Death is not cute.

Well that's disputeable. Can someone post the pictures in question so we can further determine the circumstances?

Sorry, I never save the pictures. (I agree with Unnes about death's lack of cuteness) The next time a thread pops up I'll post some here. But like I said, the pictures are tame for 4chan's standards. Most of the time it is a girl with her eyes closed and her wrist bleeding, or a girl hanging from a rope (but not all purple and bulgy-eyed).

Consider this scenario: if you were looking at /c/ at work (let's hope nobody really does) and a passerby saw one of these threads, they would think you were a fucking weirdo, regardless of how "tasteful" the art itself is. I don't think it is good for the board.

You make a good point, I retract my argument.
