Since it's a new board and there's a lot of discussion being had about moderation please use this thread to discuss issues relevant to the board. That way all jannies can read up on it/participate.

srs talk

What's the consensus on fetish-oriented threads like >>>/vt/1951611 ? Guessing that particular one should be deleted, since it's not an imagedump thread + seeing standalone threads like "ambrosia general" (https://boards.4channel.org/vt/thread/1839490) get deleted.
>>
>>7836
To me that seems just like extremely low quality thread, IMO those should be either deleted or moved to /trash/ where they belong.
>>
Someone is deleting and issuing warnings for VTuber cosplays it sounds like; I believe this is allowed content so long as it's actually a cosplay and not an IRL post from a VTuber? (e.g. Kiara)
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
>>
>>7855
You mean something like this?

https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S2534942
>>
>>7863
That I would consider trolling and a warranted deletion, it's clearly not intended to actually discuss cosplay.
I'm referring more to the replies and standalone threads that directly post or mention cosplay. I'll try to find an example later.

A recent jokester is obsessed with reposting this image containing stream annotations of 'that' stream and I just want to clarify what's ogey and what's not in terms of discussion.

I know "rratposting" technically falls into discussion of VTubers, but a lot of the recent Ollie stuff is falling into IRL discussion and speculation, right? A lot of separate anons are derailing threads to rant about Connor/zombcucks/fingerfucking/Isle 4/whatever in lieu of actual stream discussion and I want to make sure I'm correct deleting this stuff (because there's a lot of it).

Keep an eye on Ollie general onegai, they were posting lolcow screenshots and just being generally off-topic for a while (oops). It's not against the rules to argue about talents and we shouldn't be trying to make it a hugbox, but shitting on other posters and narrativeposting about IRL stuff goes against /vt/-specific rules as I understand it.

I just gave it a pass over but I'd appreciate another glance over, thanks!

Are 'cringe supachat' threads like >>>/vt/4510752 on-topic? They don't really pertain to VTubers or content directly.
>>
>>7951
Depends on the content of the superchats in question. People usually share cringy superchats with literal whos spinning pity tales about their entire family dying twice over, I'd say that shit is probably not topical under any circumstance unless perhaps in a discussion regarding the prevalence of such superchats.

Please check in on the Nijisanji EN threads if you have some time while going through reports. The post rate there is not on the magnitude of hlgg, but it is one of the faster threads on /vt/. A lot of /vt/2 drama (like speculating about roommate relationships) goes unreported and I'm concerned about it becoming the norm. I'll try to pop in more often as well.

I just wanted to post this here because this realization was too good not to share with everyone else on /j/:
On other boards people are stickied because they actually die, and even then you need a certain degree of fame or activity on the board for it to happen.
On the vtuber board they're stickied because they change workplaces, remain in the same industry and go on to do the same job elsewhere.
>My mom is having an AFFILIATE GRADUATION
>Oh so she now works from home but she got a second job at a different company
>Why yes. How could you tell?
We should unironically be laughed at every time that someone changes workplaces and it is stickied on this board for no fucking reason.
Even funnier is how we will sticky someone solely for joining Hololive (de facto been the case for 2 years, check the archives), sticky them again solely for leaving Hololive but as soon as they say that they will join a different company or go independent we are not allowed to have any stickies for their new debuts. Just to drive how stupid this is consider that most of Hololive's hires were previously vtubers anyway but Vshojo can't have debut stickies because "they're not real debuts since they were vtubers". If this isn't the most retarded double or even triple standard that I've ever witnessed it sure takes the cake.
Recently /vt/ didn't sticky the record breaking most watched debut of ALL TIME because of this. Despite all the threads, fanfare and discussion on the actual board before and afterwards.

I highly advice everyone to make fun of /vt/ janitors when they say the word "graduation".
Mocking will continue until /vt/ improves.
Furthermore, I consider /vt/ stickies to need to be destroyed.
>>
Oh hey we have a thread, hi other /vt/ jannies
>>
>>10293
Chloe didn't need a sticky on an EOP board, but Fauna brought in 200 posts/min and turned /vt/ into a 10 minute board. Intervention was needed even if you think graduations aren't a big deal.
If posters are well behaved and keeping to one thread, it seems harder to make the case for a sticky, besides as a QoL saving the bake-migrate effort. I'd still like to see it though; something like a sticky for the vtuber awards or stickying a fast moving general during their debuts.

Regarding the general "holoboard" bias, I don't see any easy fixes.

>>
>>10295
be the change you want to see, you can always ask a mod for a sticky if you think its appropriate or needed.
>>
i dont watch vtubers at all nor have i ever used /vt/ but ive seen how stickies are handled on other boards and yeah for the most part it's containment for big threads. ive seen stickies for famous deaths and stuff get denied because the threads weren't really gaining much traction in the first place. like im sure if gabe newell or stallman died we'd see something on /v/ or /g/ because otherwise it's gonna flood the catalogue but if so and so's brother's sister's mom's twice remove cousin died then yeah i mean it's not gonna slide the board. i can imagine vtubers being the same thing. scrimblo getting bimblo'd... tomato potato.
>>
>>10297
I don't have /vt/, but I don't see the problem with a different amount of "how much does it need to get a sticky" between boards if the way the userbases act is different.
If stickies usually serve to prevent the board being flooded, and what it takes to make users flood the board about news varies between topics and userbases, then yeah have different standards between boards *in response to users*.
>>
Stickying a graduation or debut is fine but for a board like /vt/ I think it should be reactionary only if the catalog starts being flooded. There is 100% an undeniable holo bias amongst the janny/mod team though.
