After digging through the archives, I think I've pieced together the "Tonyo" situation that's been popping up in the report queue in /ic/ for the past couple of weeks. I originally was clearing the related reports, but my current opinion is that we should be cleaning up the board by hitting posters with trolling.

tl;dr This whole thing is a massive LARP to get people to nuke the art resources they've downloaded.

All it really comes down to is it’s just an inside joke belonging to the resources thread. Tonyo doesn’t exist and most people know that (at least I hope most people caught on). Someone asked who he was at one point and anons just made up things about the imaginary person and it snowballed from there. It’s just /ic/s latest forced meme.

However it is starting to leak into something more than it shouldn’t have, involving other sub communities on the board. If you run into posts like that I would definitely hit those posts.
