Laydown, start visualizing, start pulling images from the astral while conscious, start seeing strange people in different rooms. His method is more of a path working than any sort of trick like a lot of astral projecting gurus spout.
I'm not going to do him a disservice my trying to adequately explain his different meditations and steps but i will explain as best i can and i will explain it in a way newpals can figure out.
To start, find an effective visualization exercise for relaxation and practice it daily. Then
Look into meditations that clear/empty your mind of thought. When you find a few that agree with you, add the simple meditation of paying attention to your breath and blocking out all other thoughts. Follow that by getting to know your chakras figure out how to get energy to flow through your chakras easily (visualize it and really feel it) and learn the seed sounds that go along with your chakras, look into cleansing and aligning them and do this daily. All of this will help you get into the mindset you need to project easily.
Next up, work on visualization, imagine stuff whenever you can, keep a dream journal to get in the habit of remembering things when out of body, close your eyes and imagine the room your in as though your eyes are open until you get good at it.
Now the most important thing you need to know (this helped me breakthrough and actually start projecting) is the fact that where your mind goes your body will follow. Imagine vividly in all senses an object or a person, add a little will and really focus on that person or thing and you will go to it.
To get out of body use your aforementioned breathing exercises and remember when you exhale your astral/soul body will leave your physical body and when you inhale you will return. Practice visualizing moving your astral arms and legs with your breath take your time and practice. Then put objects you are familiar with around your room, house and eventually outside. do some meditations and go out to these items and practice lots. work on will yourself to stay with that item even when you inhale and start so see the environment around you, the more your practice visualizing your surroundings with eyes closed the easier this seems to be. Now use this method to go to other countries and areas far off. Don't forget to go back to basics from time to time.
Btw. when going through the gateways i mentioned in my previous post. After practicing this stuff visualize one of the shapes think about the element it represents exhale and go through it. Find your own gates and ways with this info.
I would highly recommend getting Koettings soul travel lectures this is just the tip of the iceberg and his training doesn't really begin until you are already exploring the astral and beyond. His site looks like it is an edgy sham but he knows what he is talking about.

It worked, well, kinda off.
