Good day, dear /fringe/.
If it is allowed, I would like to exchange information and experiences with you, which mainly deal with mental illnesses. I have been concerned with this issue for the last few years, as I noticed how more and more relatives, friends and acquaintances of mine suffer from depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, posttraumatic disorders, anxiety and panic attacks (me included). I apologize very much for this text and my bad English skills. I have full understanding if someone does not want to read this long message.
It was and still is difficult to see how people you love lose the joy of life through these "diseases". Many who do not know the way out are looking for help in psychiatric clinics and hope for an improvement in their well-being. I am not an expert and also no doctor in this field, but I first assumed that perhaps so-called "antidepressants" can help, but according to the experience of others, in some cases the condition has deteriorated, not improved. When I began to investitavistock, I became aware of various articles, studies, and reports that all spoke of the dangers, side effects, and placebo effects of these medications. I was desperate because I wanted to help my family, friends, and all others who needed support. I kept myself informed about mental illness, talked to others, and tried to figure out the causes.
A short time later I became aware of an internship in a psychiatry that was only a few kilometers from my home town. I immediately accepted this offer because I wanted to see how the people were treated there. Unfortunately the first day was quite a shock. People seemed to me as if they were bored most of the time and were usually only in bed. Doctors and psychiatrists administered various medications so that the patients were simply calm. Strong side effects and risks are completely ignored. People have noticed at the beginning that I am a new employee and have started a brief conversation to find out who I am. Common questions like "Where are you from?", "How old are you?", "How long are you here?", etc. I was able to talk to them quite normally and it was also interesting to be honest. My other employees were not very pleased, however, and told the patients to leave me alone, although they were usual conversations, nothing bad at all.
When there were problems, people got drugs very quickly and in some cases were even tied up. Even if it sounds stupid, it was like in a horror movie where the doctors and psychiatrists are crazy, not the patients. It breaks the heart to see how these people are treated. At first, I thought that this clinic is a negative example, but when I informed myself on the Internet of other people's experiences, I realized that it was almost everywhere.
Also, I repeatedly came across articles that recommend a healthy diet (food rich in zinc, B vitamins, C, D3 + K2, B3, B12, A, fiber, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, clean protein, coconut oil, ghee + an additional aid dietary supplements) and daily, physical exercise to enhance well-being. Some may suggest antidepressants, ketamine, (strong) psychedelics (DMT, Iboga, Ayahuasca), nootropics (Semax and Selank) or something else, but in my opinion "drugs" are not a permanent solution. Healthy foods can improve or even cure physical as well as mental problems, but we should also remember that there is something else in life besides eating. By this I mean:
- two, three, four true friends whom I can trust + who help me in difficult times.
- Work that really interests me and brings pleasure / joy. Money is important, but in my opinion not everything in life.
- loving family.
- meaning in life. For some people it may be rich and earn millions, many women, beautiful cars, materialistic objects. Others just want to be a good father or mother. I myself prefer the "selfless path" and would like to help others + be a good friend. Everyone has a different purpose in life and that is all right.
It would be interesting to know how your experiences are and whether you want to share them. Maybe you have a few tips and advice for those who suffer from such mental illness. I would be very happy if we could talk about these topic and exchange information. Would be nice if each of us learn something new.
