Keypoints:

1. Remote viewing is a latent ability. We all have this faculty. I've heard people say it's a gift, something only some people have, not true; it's a function of consciousness we all have and which can be developed. Maybe some are more naturally inclined that way or more adept but we all have this function.

2. They blow out the theories of some people by using a faraday cage to shield a target which was remote viewed. Impressions of the object could still be made.

3. Confirmation that distance doesn't matter.

Besides…

5. c. is rather puzzling it states "Often observe essentially corect descriptions of basic elements and patterns coupled with incomplete or erroneous analysis of function.

Also 5. i. "Motion is seldom reported."

Really makes me think. Why the difficulties with understanding the function of an object? Why is motion not often seen? What does this tell us about the cognitive state of a remote viewer? What areas of our brain are used in determining the function of an object and perception of motion?

Let me answer your question, as this is something that puzzled me when I started this path (coincidentally, learning remote viewing was what got me into magic in the first place).

Clairvoyance and in general supernormal perception has a symbolic nature. What reaches your conscious mind is basically an interpretation of your subconscious mind. In the same way, the subconscious being the intermediary in both directions, magic is symbolic for the same reason. Note that it doesn't matter if we're talking about our individual subconscious or some archetypal subconscious of the universe itself.

If you practice long enough and analyze your performance you will reach this same conclusions (magicians from other specialties also learn this in different ways).

I ended up making something in paint to try an explain this. Hope it helps.

Missing in that diagram of course is the way of making the compiler run. It's not supposed to be a complete explanation of how magic works, just a way to illustrate its language being metaphor.

I think this is because "emotion", or "impression" (understood as that something that can encapsulate meaning in an instantaneous and highly compressed packet of information accessible to the subconscious) is like "the programming language" of the universe. That diagram tries to illustrate the translation mechanism for the ego or conscious mind.

An advanced practitioner and/or intuitive people can simply decide on an outcome, pack it into an impression/emotion and feed it into the feeling machinery of the human body and mind for simple, direct manifestation. In reverse this is much more commonly known and is known as intuition. Manifestation is like reverse intuition, or what intuition would look like if used to effect change into reality instead of using it as a mechanism for perception.

This is the least-schizo way I have of explaining this.

It's just that while I'm in that state, it's as if certain parts of my mind are shut off, or not functioning in the normal way, so my reports (while in that state) may be rather odd. I could still think about what I viewed afterwards after coming out of the trance.

It's because you perceive from the right hemisphere. You got your answer. Stop arguing.

Or don't ask questions if all you're looking for is validating your preconceived notions.

You might get more literal if you follow the military protocol very strictly because that's what it was designed to do, or if your hemispheres are accustomed to communicating already. But this phenomenon is all over the literature, I'm not making it up.

Distance and time-uncertainty are correlated. So what you'd probably see is something like pic-related. You'd need a fixed reference point with respect to both space and time to detect motion, and I suspect that's harder to do.

You can follow the procedure for self initiated RVing. The declassified material I read says the three types (teacher/other, vicarious, and self induced reinforcement) and it's effectiveness depends on the subject and their personality type. But it says any can work for training, so self induced is still an option for those without a monitor. For the target you could randomize a print out from file and leave it in the room it was printed and begin the session. Then after completion of the session use the printed target as you would in any normal session.

Look for the CIA-RDP96-00787R000300110001-8 release on RVing procedure and terminology.

Well, I think that was somewhere around half a year of on and off practice. I had seen some pretty convincing sessions right off of the bat though. If I can do it, I figure most people will see interesting results fairly early before the hit and miss nature of RV really kicks in. After that, it's just practice and experimenting with whatever you find to work.
