>>18076That's pretty interesting, what's your rationale for urine drinking? Are there any serious writings about this?
Broccoli and all the cruciferous vegetables are goitrogenic (gives you gas) and contain high levels of oxalic acid. They do contain high concentrations of micronutrients, but must be cooked or juiced to be consumed because of the high levels of indigestible fiber (cellulose), so therefore they are not optimal.
Human beings are a colony organism, the bacteria in our bodies outnumber us on a cellular level 10:1, said bacteria produce almost all of the nutrients we need. This conflicts with just about every nutritional guideline out there, but more nutrition is not necessarily better. Instead one should purify their body in order to more efficiently assimilate and utilize the nutrients already in ones body. As you say it's best to buy organic food, if it costs twice the price you're getting a good deal because it has at least twice the amount of nutrients.

I was talking to Smiley about this since he lives in Canada. For me in Southern California I can feed myself year-round on raw organic fruit for about $15-20 a day, though I don't have a very wide selection right now. I eat mostly apples, navel oranges, pears, bananas, kiwis, mangoes, grapefruits, young thai coconuts, bell peppers, tomatoes, and avocadoes. Along with the occasional salad. Robert Bruce on fasting:
"Fasting is enormously helpful for Kundalini work. Digestion takes about 80% of available energy resources and generally tires you out. Obviously you need 'all' available energy for Kundalini, so fasting and inner cleansing accomplishes this very easily… once you get used to it, that is."
"And fasting is very healing. You can cure just about anything with fasting, particularly with longer duration fasts of a month or so, and this includes cancers, heart disease, liver disorders, and just about anything. This happens because when you stop eating for say a month, the body starts to consume itself. It stars by dissolving damaged and diseased tissue, and tumors, and plaque buildup in the arteries, etc. It will consume all available fat, including excess liver fat and size. Only when it runs out of fat completely will it start on the muscle tissue. It will 'never' consume its internal organs."
"Fasting also gives you complete control over your body and its weight, and control over the ego aspect. The detox on a long fast is profound. This also cures many conditions, physical and mental, including things like schizophrenia…for which heavy metals and toxins are primary contributors."

I "fast" 14-20 hours every day, known as intermittent fasting. A good way to think of it is skip breakfast, and don't eat 3-4 hours before you go to bed. Fasting one day a week is a variant of intermittent fasting, some people even fast every other day. I'll make a formal post in this thread with intermittent fasting links. It's definitely good to give your body a break from digesting food on a regular basis, it uses the most loosh out of any task your body performs.

>>18111You should looking into doing a water fast of 3 weeks or more, it will reset your body. You'll probably lose at least 30-40 lbs.
If you decide that it may be helpful, it is not advisable to fast this long without supervision, unfortunately.
Water Fasting Basics1. Sip on 3-4 litres of either heavily filtered or spring water a day. Emphasis on sip, your body can only absorb so much water at a time. Clear pee does not mean that you are hyrdrated.
2.Rest as completely as possible. this means laying down with your eyes closed 90% of the time. This conserves your loosh and allows your body to concentrate all its resources on healing and purifying itself.
3.When breaking the fast refeed very slowly. An ounce of easily digestible high water content fruit every 2 hours for four meals on the first day. Double this amount every day until you're eating a pound of fruit four times a day.
After 5-7 days of refeeding you should feel better than you've ever felt and ready to transition to a long term raw fruitarian diet.
If you break a longterm fast incorrectly, you can die, or face serious health implications. This is the reason why unsupervised longterm fasts are not advisable. No.18128
>>18123>fasting can hurt your metabolism and cause your weight to yoyo among other things, be carefull with itthere are much better ways to lose fat
This is very true, although it hurting your metabolism is, I believe, a misconception.
If after fasting you require 1500 calories instead of 2500 calories per day to maintain your weight, is your body not running more efficiently? The concept of "metabolic damage" often talked about by bodybuilders is completely erroneous, in my opinion. It is metabolic adaptation.
A long term fast should definitely be viewed as the first step in a major lifestyle change, and not a "magic pill" that will make you skinny. If you are eating the correct diet, it's impossible to be overweight. Just search fruitarian on youtube. Everyone you see is lean and has clear, glowing skin. Even many people's eyes change color when switching to this diet.

this is because after a fast the average dolt will binge and the body is now in a fat storing mode so fat is put on really easily

>>18112I haven't really looked into the warrior diet too much, but I think some people have had success with it. I just eat 2-4 mono fruit meals a day. For example, 6-8 apples, then a few hours later 6-8 oranges. I am right now using myself as a test subject to see if one can, in fact, gain size, strength, and muscle on a low protein diet. I began intermittent fasting 3 years ago because it is convenient (eating two meals instead of three means less food prep) and I had problems with overeating and found I could only fit so much food into my stomach in a 6-8 hour period.
Intermittent fasting also increases your growth hormone production by up to 2000% during the fast. Your cells also engage in whats called autophagy which is a process of healing, purification and rejuvenation. Intermittent fasting allows one to receive a miniature version of the effects of long term fasting, every day.

The "paleo" movement definitely has a gross misunderstanding of carbs and a gross misunderstanding of our past. Mercola advocates 25g of fructose per day, I probably have four times that. No mention of resistant starch and gut bacteria here so i'll drop what little i know. it's probably #1 on top of good nutrition which is why fibrous veggies are important as well as fruits.
intestinal bacteria are one of the most important yet overlooked aspects of your bodily health responsible for metabolism, mood and more. bad gut bacteria can make you fat and autistic. no, seriously. read my following sources. as above, so below.
eat more fermented foods and fermentable fibers and starches. also it's funny how "culture" as in yogurt cultures, and cultures who fermented foods in the past were so "cultured."
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/7-things-you-had-no-idea-gut-bacteria-could-do/your mind and body influence gut bacteria, and it influences you and your body and mental health in return. like the midichlorians in the stupid ass new star wars trilogy that are teh source of The Force. Perhaps you can magickally cultivate good gut flora by calming your mind and body.
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/16-things-that-affect-your-gut-bacteria/not coincidentally, the herbicides sprayed on GM foodcrops can kill gut bacteria. go non-GMO and organic with your grains. poor gut bacteria is associated with conditions like crohn's and autism.
here's a good guide to getting resistant starch to promote good bacteria without necessarily resorting to costly probiotics:
http://freetheanimal.com/2013/12/resistant-primer-newbies.htmlGreat RS sources include potato starch powder, plantain flour, legumes like lentils and navy beans, and unripe green bananas or plantains.
Good RS sources are oats, brown rice, cooked and cooled of potatoes, rice or even wheat.

>All grain-fed meat
>PUFA oils and fats (vegetable, canola, corn, cottonseed, soybean, safflower, sunflower, peanut, grape seed, margarine)

take a lot of steroids/growth stimulants
have enough calories to build muscle, protein is unimportant because it is almost imposible to not get enough through typical food
rest well
if steroids are too expensive for you then drink a shit load of milk(cow) and comsume a lot of fatty animal products
the cow milk is designed for baby cows to grow very fast and it does just that plus more to humans
the fatty animal product is to keep your insulin levels high which makes you grow faster
this is of course horrible for your health long and possibly short term but it will work

What does /fringe/ think of keto?
I was interested in it because I read that on keto, you are just naturally in a higher, better mood (no placebo), your brain functions better thus assuaging ADD/ADHD as well as autism, schizophrenia, bipolar and borderline disorders(I've read some anecdotes on this). Also, since the food you're eating is high in fats and proteins, you'll feel more full so calorie restrictions are much easier to apply. I'm mostly interested in the supposed brain benefits, I think it could help with my meditation, work and just life in general. Oh, and of course, I'm a fat fuck so this seems like a good way to drop some pounds. I'm already on a 2k-calorie restriction and when I adapt to this (no more hunger pangs), I'll slash it again to 1500. With keto, I think I could really accelerate results.
Thoughts?

http://www.apa.org/monitor/2012/09/gut-feeling.aspxIf aliens were to swoop in from outer space and squeeze a human down to see what we're made of, they would come to the conclusion that cell for cell, we're mostly bacteria. In fact, single-celled organisms—mostly bacteria—outnumber our own cells 10 to one, and most of them make their home in the gut. The gut, in turn, has evolved a stunningly complex neural network capable of leveraging this bacterial ecosystem for the sake of both physical and psychological well-being.
The idea that bacteria teeming in the gut—collectively known as the microbiome—can affect not only the gut, but also the mind, "has just catapulted onto the scene," says neuroimmunologist John Bienenstock, MD, of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. In just the last few years, evidence has mounted from studies in rodents that the gut microbiome can influence neural development, brain chemistry and a wide range of behavioral phenomena, including emotional behavior, pain perception and how the stress system responds.
Research has found, for example, that tweaking the balance between beneficial and disease-causing bacteria in an animal's gut can alter its brain chemistry and lead it to become either more bold or more anxious. The brain can also exert a powerful influence on gut bacteria; as many studies have shown, even mild stress can tip the microbial balance in the gut, making the host more vulnerable to infectious disease and triggering a cascade of molecular reactions that feed back to the central nervous system.
Such findings offer the tantalizing possibility of using beneficial, or probiotic, bacteria to treat mood and anxiety disorders—either by administering beneficial microbes themselves or by developing drugs that mimic their metabolic functions. The new research also hints at new ways of managing chronic gastrointestinal (GI) disorders that are commonly accompanied by anxiety and depression, and that also appear to involve abnormal gut microbiota.
As exciting as these investigations may be, research on how gut bacteria affect psychological well-being in humans is still in its infancy. For one, the studies have been almost entirely limited to rodents. Second, researchers have only begun to probe how such effects occur. Finally, correcting microbial imbalances to treat disease requires first defining what constitutes a healthy gut microbiome—something that scientists are still trying to understand.
"We're just scraping the surface," says McMaster University gastroenterologist Premysl Bercik, MD. "Definitely the animal data suggest that bacteria can have profound effects on behavior and brain biochemistry, probably through multiple pathways." Untangling those biological processes and learning how to apply that knowledge to boost human psychological health will take many years.

*The life inside*
The human gut is an amazing piece of work. Often referred to as the "second brain," it is the only organ to boast its own independent nervous system, an intricate network of 100 million neurons embedded in the gut wall. So sophisticated is this neural network that the gut continues to function even when the primary neural conduit between it and the brain, the vagus nerve, is severed. (Citing the enteric nervous system's autonomy and apparent infallibility, comedian Stephen Colbert once christened the gut "the pope of your torso.")
At birth, every gut is sterile. But over time, everyone's gut develops a diverse and distinct brew of bacterial species, determined in part by genetics and in part by what bacteria live in and on those around us. The 100 trillion microbes that make the GI tract their playground are critical to health. Gut bacteria regulate digestion and metabolism. They extract and make vitamins and other nutrients from food that you eat. They program the body's immune system. They build and maintain the gut wall, which protects the body from outside invaders. And by their very presence, beneficial bacteria in the gut block harmful microbes from setting up camp and produce anti-microbial chemicals that defend the host against pathogens.
Gut bacteria also produce hundreds of neurochemicals that the brain uses to regulate basic physiological processes as well as mental processes such as learning, memory and mood. For example, gut bacteria manufacture about 95 percent of the body's supply of serotonin, which influences both mood and GI activity.
When you consider the gut's multifaceted ability to communicate with the brain, along with its crucial role in defending the body against the perils of the outside world, "it's almost unthinkable that the gut is not playing a critical role in mind states," says gastroenterologist Emeran Mayer, MD, director of the Center for Neurobiology of Stress at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Indeed, a flurry of studies in the past several years indicates that the gut microbiome's importance goes beyond physical health: It is also a key player in the gut-brain connection. In one striking demonstration of the potency of the so-called "microbiome-gut-brain axis," published in Gastroenterology in 2011, Bercik and colleagues gave BALB/c mice, a strain of mice that are typically timid and shy, a cocktail of antibiotics, dramatically changing the composition of their gut bacteria.
"Their behavior completely changed," Bercik says. "They became bold and adventurous."
The antibiotic treatment also boosted levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the hippocampus. This neurochemical promotes neural connections and is an important factor in memory and mood. When the antibiotic regimen was stopped, the animals soon reverted to their usual, cautious selves, and their brain biochemistry also returned to normal.
In a follow-up experiment, Bercik's team corralled two strains of mice born and raised in a sterile environment: timid BALB/c mice, and NIH Swiss mice, known for their courageous, exploratory behavior. The researchers then colonized each group of these "germ-free" mice with bacteria from mice of the opposite strain. The result of this microbial swap was uncanny: The normally anxiety-prone BALB/c mice became much more fearless explorers, while the typically daring NIH Swiss mice suddenly grew more hesitant and shy. The results, Bercik says, underscore that at least in laboratory mice, some seemingly intrinsic characteristics are driven not solely by the animals themselves, but also by microbes inhabiting the gut. Whether the pattern holds up in humans, whose guts harbor more diverse microbial communities, remains to be seen, Bercik says.
It doesn't necessarily take a full-scale microbial transplant to trigger behavioral change. The addition of a single bacterial strain can also change mouse behavior. In one of the earliest studies showing that adding a single bacterium can influence behavior, microbiologist Mark Lyte, PhD, of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and colleagues stirred a small dose of the pathogenic bacterium Campylobacter jejuni—too little to trigger an immune response—into saline solution and fed it to a group of lab mice. The results, published in Physiology and Behavior in 1998, showed that two days later, mice that consumed the bacteria were more cautious about entering exposed areas of a laboratory maze—a common measure of anxiety in rodents—compared with mice in a control group.

No animal in nature calorie restricts, only when it is sick because you'd conserve more energy laying down vs going and trying to find food while watching for predators. Calorie restriction doesn't help with meditation. The only diet where you can eat 10000 calories and not suffer a single issue would be a raw vegan diet with mainly fruits. When the body attempts to digest it, the dead milk putrefies and feeds bacteria meant to break down dead matter to return it to the ether instead of fermenting and feeding bacteria that support the living.
raw, live, probiotic milk is highly supportive to gut environment and is not associated with those health problems. fermented dairy products like cheese, yogurt, kefir and so on made from raw milk is highly beneficial.
it's not so much that milk itself is bad, it's that processed pasteurized milk (majority of milk) and ultra-pasteurized milk (that can stay "fresh" at room temperature for up to six months in a sealed container) from abused and neglected cows is bad.

>>18455>Pasteurizing milk destroys all the enzymes and bacteria designed to digest the milk proteins and to add nutrition to the milk; it also denatures the proteins themselves causing them to be highly allergenic for MANY people. Your body has problems digesting some of these proteins such as casein, without these natural milk enzymes, most people CANNOT digest them at all. This can cause many problems; many health professionals think many allergies and autoimmune problems often have a root in indigestible denatured milk proteins. In the famous Pottenger Experiments with cats and diet, 13 cats fed mostly on pasteurized milk all died within several months.
>Pasteurizing milk also helps encourage the growth of pathogenic bacteria, and turns milk’s natural sugar (lactose) into beta-lactose. Beta-lactose is rapidly absorbed in the human body and can encourage sugar diabetes. Pasteurizing milk destroys most of the vitamins, calcium and some of the iodine in raw milk.
>Homogenizing milk suspends the fat in micro particles that are foreign to your body and may by pass your digestive process and enter your blood stream intact. >It will raise your insulinReally? The keto theory states that it drops your insulin. By removing
all forms of sugar from your diet–including carbs which can break down into sugar–your insulin levels drop. According to ketoers, insulin has the side-effect of encouraging your fat cells to be more "greedy" and refuse to release their energy so despite all the carbs you've eaten, because they all raised your insulin level and made your fat cells less philanthropic, your body's cells are still starved of energy so you still feel hungry and lethargic and therefore have to eat more food.
>your brain can't use ketones as energyWell yeah, supposedly the brain is capable of and efficient at converting ketones into glucose:

>The keto theory states that it drops your insulinwhat the anon probably means is that it will raise your insulin resistance, dropping your insulin activity, which is exactly what happens. insulin resistance is closely associated with type 2 diabetes, the curable but harmful diet-related form of diabetes.
Regardless of what you do, take this to heart: all carbs are NOT created equally. carbs are necessary.
no matter whether you are paleofag or vegayn, get your carbs. go low-glycemic, high fiber and high resistant starch. these do not affect insulin resistance negatively, creates sustained energy that keeps you satisfied and helps one lose excess adipose mass. think oats, unripened fruits and tons of veggies.
here's an issue that can arise from "keto" with absolute carb avoidance:
>Physiological Insulin Resistatnce (PIR) results from glucose deficiency the same way mucin deficiency induces dry eyes, nostrils, colon and anemia like symptoms. They’re both ways of preserving glucose for your brain.
>When you VLC [very low carb], your muscles become insulin resistant to preserve your glucose for the brain. So while your muscles are running on fatty acids, they become insulin resistant. This leaves glucose for your brain but the net result is your BG going up as you’re “physiologically” insulin resistant. There doesn’t really seem to a problem with this state, as there is with mucin deficiency; it’s not known to induce diabetes or make prediabetics diabetic. At least not according to those who advocate VLCing. I have a feeling however, that this is a disease-prone state.http://freetheanimal.com/2014/02/ketogenic-diets-news.htmlafter having done a low carb paleo/keto type diet and doing intermittent fasting for almost two years, I can say that it is useless at best unless you are currently obese and want to lose some excess lard, or are currently suffering of cancer and need to starve it off at the expense of your energy. on keto your body will naturally make you lethargic, tired and slow to conserve energy even after ketosis kicks in.
a balanced, raw-where-possible diet of vegetables, soaked or sprouted grains and legumes and the occasional fruits is the way to go whether you are fat, fit or a scrawny fuck. interspersed with fasting maybe once a week or a couple times a month will give you the hormetic benefits of keto.

I don't see why you limit fruits? Sugar isn't bad.
Let me say this loud and clear.
SUGAR IS NOT THE CAUSE OF ANY SO CALLED DIABETIC DISEASES
If you have insulin resistance more sugar/fruit actually HELPS.
>In the 1920s, “diabetes” was thought to be a disease of insulin deficiency. Eventually, measurements of insulin showed that “diabetics” often had normal amounts of insulin, or above-normal amounts. There are now “two kinds of diabetes,” with suggestions that “the disease” will soon be further subdivided.
>The degenerative diseases that are associated with hyperglycemia and commonly called diabetes, are only indirectly related to insulin, and as an approach to understanding or treating diabetes, the “glycemic index” of foods is useless. Physiologically, it has no constructive use, and very little meaning.
>Insulin is important in the regulation of blood sugar, but its importance has been exaggerated because of the diabetes/insulin industry. Insulin itself has been found to account for only about 8% of the "insulin-like activity" of the blood, with potassium being probably the largest factor. There probably isn't any process in the body that doesn't potentially affect blood sugar.
>Glucagon, cortisol, adrenalin, growth hormone and thyroid tend to increase the blood sugar, but it is common to interpret hyperglycemia as "diabetes," without measuring any of these factors. Even when "insulin dependent diabetes" is diagnosed, it isn't customary to measure the insulin to see whether it is actually deficient, before writing a prescription for insulin. People resign themselves to a lifetime of insulin injections, without knowing why their blood sugar is high.
>Insulin release is also stimulated by amino acids such as leucine, and insulin stimulates cells to absorb amino acids and to synthesize proteins. Since insulin lowers blood sugar as it disposes of amino acids, eating a large amount of protein without carbohydrate can cause a sharp decrease in blood sugar. This leads to the release of adrenalin and cortisol, which raise the blood sugar. Adrenalin causes fatty acids to be drawn into the blood from fat stores, especially if the liver's glycogen stores are depleted, and cortisol causes tissue protein to be broken down into amino acids, some of which are used in place of carbohydrate.
>Unsaturated fatty acids, adrenaline, and cortisol cause insulin resistance. No.18575

Insulin IS important but it's importance has been VASTLY overstated by diabetes/insulin industry. There probably isn't any process in the body that doesn't potentially affect blood sugar.
Even the taste of sweetness, without swallowing anything, can stimulate the release of glucagon, which raises blood sugar, which goes to show just how stupid the glycemic index is.
And because of the glymecix index hype and the insulin industry, a culture of diabetes and sugar has been fabulized and expanded and modified as new commercial industries found ways to profit from it. Seed oils, fish oils, breakfast cereals, soybean products, and other things that were never eaten by any animal in millions of years of evolution have become commonplace as “foods,” even as “health foods.”
Fructose inhibits the stimulation of insulin by glucose, so this means that eating ordinary sugar, sucrose (a disaccharide, consisting of glucose and fructose), in place of starch, will reduce the tendency to store fat. Eating “complex carbohydrates,” rather than sugars, is a reasonable way to promote obesity.

Historically, there are no cultures that have thrived by subsisting off of animal free diets. Another problem with vegan is that it's heavily based on cabbage family, beans, lentils and nuts, these proteins, in quality, rank about 15 times lower than the highest quality protein. And so even you think you’re eating nothing but protein rich foods, beans and nuts, their quality is so low that your liver simply can’t respond to the thyroid.
A vegan diet based on grains and legumes is terrible.
A vegan diet that mainly consists of carbs from fruits/milk/honey, an ample amounts of protein (through dairy, eggs and if you choose to do so, seafood), you'll be well on your way to a very sound and protective nutritional approach.
Of course that's not really vegan though, now is it? Which highlights the problems once again a vegan diet. You just simply cannot get the whole range of vitamins, minerals and nutrients from a vegan diet. End of story.
You can survive, just like you can survive on bananas only (see 30 bananas a day for examples) but that doesn't mean it's optimal or healthy.
A 100% vegan diet for health is as stupid as a 100% steak & eggs diet. By definition, a diet that requires supplementation is not a healthy diet. So the answer is no, you can not be a healthy vegan.

the only ones that stand out in your wide-brushed generalization are soy and rapeseed (canola). even then, soy has been eaten safely after fermentation. it's when you don't prepare any grains beforehand that you experience problems.
natto (fermented soybean) is a great source of vitamin k2 important for keeping calcium out of your blood (especially if you take vitamin D), and if your gut bacteria aren't good they can't convert vitamin k1 to that form very well. this is important stuff to know about.

personally, glycemic index is a metric that tells me how much of what will give me a sugar crash and is a reliable estimator of what i should eat. I refer to it because there is nothing else like it to refer to. I suppose it is useless if you stay away from processed plebfood 100%.
when I do eat high glycemic foods like fruits and juices, I have no problems when they are eaten with other foods like eggs or meat or oats or in relatively small quantities. but I'm not going to try and live off fruit juice.
I take them as I sense a need for them which changes with my daily activity level. the more I do, the more I eat. it's that simple. I write from personal experience, not from supplement gurus or other dogmas.

Fructose actually has a lot of benefits, the only problem is that if in too high a free amount in the intestinal lumen at once the body might have a hard time absorbing it all (most fructose moves across the lumen membrane with the help of glucose, which is why sucrose is great, it has a perfect 1:1 ratio, as do most fruits).
A little free fructose is no problem.
Too much HFCS or plain fructose at once MIGHT give you gas and brainfog because of the malabsorbtion, but fructose it in of itself is not problematic.
The studies saying fructose is bad USE UNREALISTIC DOSES of the sugar unaccompanied by glucose, it also turns out that the rodents researchers have studied metabolize fructose in a very different way than people do—far more different than originally anticipated. Studies that have traced fructose’s fantastic voyage through the human body suggest that the liver converts as much as 50 percent of FRUCTOSE into GLUCOSE, around 30 percent of FRUCTOSE into LACTATE and less than one percent into FATS. In contrast, mice and rats turn more than >>>50 PERCENT OF FRUCTOSE INTO FATS<<<, so experiments with these animals exaggerate the significance of fructose’s proposed detriments for humans, especially clogged arteries, fatty livers and insulin resistance.

>>18840>Much of the plastic that can be traced to health risks is latent in disease epidemiology and outcomes often appear months or years later. William Shotyk (2006) has performed two studies concerning contamination and leaching in PET containers in storage capacities. One study was undertaken to research the notion of “storage dose” of water in acid-cleaned LDPE bottles compared to that of PET bottles indicated that after three months of storage at room temperature, the water in the PET bottle yielded nearly 200% more of the Sb chemical concentration.[12] This study provides insight on the storage capacity of the water contained in PET bottles and elevates the need to regularly use and replace water stored for emergencies in such bottle types. It is important to read the expiration date of the bottles and dispose of water that has been stored under conditions that increase potentially hazardous chemical leeching.[13]
>Bottle manufacturing relies on fossil fuels and natural resources. Some manufacturing processes release toxic chemicals into the air and water supply that can adversely affect nervous systems, blood, kidneys, immune systems, and can cause cancer and birth defects.[14] Most disposable water bottles are made from petroleum derived polyethylene terephthalate (PET). While PET is considered less toxic than many other types of plastic, the Berkely Ecology Center found that manufacturing PET generates toxic emissions in the form of nickel, ethylbenzene, ethylene oxide and benzene at levels 100 times higher than those created to make the same amount of glass.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_bottle#Multi-use_plastic_water_bottles[paranoia intensifies]

if GM was so great, why do they need to douse it with toxic herbicides like glyphosate (brandnames Roundup and Enlist Duo) by Dow chemical corp with the same shit they used in Agent Orange in vietnam that had the teratogenic dioxins?
the same company that manufactures those seeds guarantees themselves an extra cut of the profits because they also manufacture the poisons that kill the weeds.
no matter if the weeds are becoming extra resistant. no matter if the herbicides are known to cause cancers and to block hormones like testosterone. they just "wash off" easily, right? of course they do, that's why we're finding it in our bodies and in our environment.

keep in mind the herbicides are the most severe source of damage, and the GM part while potentially harmful is played up as a red herring to make GMO opponents look paranoid. for all we know they play up the importance of the GMO part when in reality they probably know very little about genetic modification.
The GMO crops have yet to be proven harmful (by the establishment's own sources), but the establishment already acknowledges the herbicides are harmful which is why we don't see many people talking about them or addressing them in legislation. Google "pubmed glyphosate".
they will never address the harm caused by herbicides glyphosate or 2,4-D (now branded as Enlist Duo) because they paid off the EPA to allow their use. they claim it isn't deadly enough to consider harmful because it doesn't cause immediate severe damage to the body or gut bacteria. down the line though…

Now I have loads of dead weight and cellulite and bad skin, healing capabilities are lessened, everything sucks it was better before. Cellulite at 130 pounds, it's possible!
And food binging is interesting. It is actually healthy if you do it correctly(got fat from bad health from work, not this) You can binge if your body is prepared properly, you will know when it is. In my case it was from sexual energy, I have a binging fetish so you know how that works, but it's funny that I had this at the same time as ana, but thinking of starving myself also makes me horny, what gives?. Recent advice that I was given by a powerful wizard. I'm sure some of it has been covered but here it is
"It has become very clear in this Age of Information that the population of the world has been manipulated for the sake of corporate profits and political power. The pharmaceutical companies, the chemical company giants and commercial agriculture are not concerned with promoting human or environmental health, but instead, making money off of diseases, symptom care and poisoning the environment of t…his world that is our home. In the pharmaceutical industry, if a market area begins to taper off, they simply create a another one by inventing a new disease. They do this by "upgrading" a common symptom into a disease status. The USDA uses tax payer money to promote soy products, corn products, wheat products, pasteurized milk and cheese, canola oil, cottonseed oil, etc., all of which cause chronic conditions and diseases and are designed to put more profits into the pockets of corporate food producers and the medical system at large. And with the promoting of GMO crops and monoculture comes billions of tons of highly toxic pesticides and fertilizers that appear to be the reason for the decimation of the bee populations and the valuable organisms in the soil itself. These practices are killing the earth, literally, and everything upon the earth and everything in the water as well. But you don't have to fall for these corporate and governmental policy tactics. All that is needed is to see them for what they are: manipulative marketing ploys. You can reclaim control over yours and your family's health. You no longer have to put up with this insanity. By educating yourself, you can learn to see through the main-streamed propaganda that is strangling this world and stop being deceived by the FDA, the USDA, the drug companies, commercial agriculture, the chemical companies, etc.,. Recognize their lies and deceptions and see them for what they are. By coming together on the truth about the world around us we can end the senseless and foolish wasting of our resources. High-cost symptom care, low-nutrition foods, toxic pesticides, etc., don't work and they are detrimental to our health and to the health of the environment.
Guidelines for health:
All diseases, disorders and toxic damage to the body are reversible and can be overcome with high-density nutrition combined with toxin elimination. The only medicine that is required for any full recovery is a mostly raw, organic diet. At least 80% of your diet should be raw, organic vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and some gluten-free grains. Also, the sea vegetables have 10 to 20 times the nutritional density of the best organic land vegetables and have much higher levels of absorbable protein than meat.
This should be combined with the elimination of toxins (that we, in modern society, are inundated with everyday). A simple way to reduce toxins in the body is with food-grade diatomaceous earth or bentonite clay or zeolite. Take it at bedtime so that it works to round up toxins and free radicals while you sleep.
When you consume animal products drink only raw, unpasteurized milk, eat only free-range, antibiotic/hormone free eggs (without a soy diet) and unpasteurized raw milk cheese. Beef and chicken should be free-range, grass fed, grass-finished, organic and hormone/antibiotic free and should not be raised or finished on grain feeds. [note: radiation pools into animals and animal products to a much greater extent than it pools into plants].
Anything cooked should be cooked at low temperature. Never turn your stove top up over halfway. It takes longer to cook but you won’t destroy the naturally occurring enzymes that are the delivery system for the nutrients to get to your cells. Cook and store food only in glass, stainless steel, iron and ceramic pans and containers.
Probiotics are crucial. They repopulate your intestines with beneficial bacteria making it possible for your body to break down and absorb nutrition. 75% of your immune system is in your gut. There is a strong gut connection to every other component of your body.-

-Free glutamic acids are isolated strands of amino acids that have been separated from naturally occurring protein compounds of 8 or more amino acids. Naturally occurring protein is very healthy, whereas, protein isolates are extremely harmful. The most notable free glutamic acid is MSG but they come in a wide variety of forms and names. Therefore, you should avoid the following ingredients on food and body product labels: anything hydrolyzed, anything autolyzed, anything isolate, anything extract, anything hydrogenated and anything in general that you can’t pronounce or don’t know the meaning of. See
http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html for a complete list of ingredients to avoid.
All soy products should be avoided completely (unless fermented. note: tofu is not fermented, it's curdled, and toxic). The structure of soy is extemely harmful to humans and animals. (There are only 3 fermented soy food products that are beneficial–all 3 are traditional Japanese foods: miso, tempeh and natto).
Avoid all artificial sweeteners, especially neotame and aspartame (which is being renamed amino-sweet). For a no-carb, no-calorie sweetener use Stevia without “other ingredients” added. All soft drinks should be avoided, especially zero-cal and low-cal. The two most beneficial sweeteners are organic grade B maple syrup and organic evaporated cane juice (sucanat). They contain all of their naturally occurring minerals and are balanced: meaning they do not disrupt insulin levels.
Drink filtered water in glass containers (with trace minerals added back in and set in the sunlight to restructure). Never drink tap water or any bottled water in plastic containers. Fluoride and BPA are extremely harmful to the human body–especially to women and children.
Avoid all GMO’s. You can get the non-GMO shopping guide at www.resposibletechnology.org Approximately 90% of all corn, soy, canola are GMO and approximately 90% of cottonseed oil is GMO. GMO alfalfa has been fully deregulated and most of the alfalfa crops will now be GMO. GMO sugar beets have been partially deregulated and will be prominent very soon. And a growing number of squash, rice and mangoes are GMO. Even organic corn, organic soy, organic canola and organic cottonseed should be avoided because the organic crops have been compromised by GMO crop pollen. This has also happened with flax crops and, now, with beets and alfalfa.
The juicing of fresh organic fruits and vegetables is unparalleled for nutritional impact. Recommended for juicing: organic carrots, organic apples, organic beets and beet greens, organic kale and other organic greens (this combination is delicious and covers the nutritional spectrum well–it also chelates toxins from the system). Fresh organic vegetable juices are a nutritional powerhouse.
Use Pink Himalayan Sea Salt (it has a full spectrum of trace minerals that are extremely beneficial) or sea salt. Never use table salt.
The best supplements are botanical (actual plants: harvested, dried, powdered and capped). Common multi-vitamin/mineral tablets offer little benefit: they are not highly absorbable and they contain toxins. Take supplements with a nutritious meal consisting of plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables because the best enzymes occur naturally in organic fruits and vegetables and thereby deliver the nutrition and supplemental nutrition more effectively to your cells where it’s needed.
Essential fatty acids (omega 3's are the only oils you need to supplement) are, in fact, ESSENTIAL. Recommended: Krill oil and organic virgin coconut oil.
Never take calcium supplements. They calcify and harden your arteries, tissues and organs. Calcium is made by your body from Magnesium, potassium and silica. Your body will make the calcium it needs from these three ingredients and won't make more than it needs. Take highly absorbable forms of potassium and magnesium such as in the citrate form. Food grade diatomaceous earth is 100% silica. Take vitamin D3 (and the corresponding appropriate amount of vitamin K2) as the D3 is an important part of the calcium up-take process.
Apricot seed powder, Moringa leaf powder, Noni fruit powder, Maitake mushroom powder and Broccoli sprout powder are excellent for correcting cancer. Also, Moringa leaf and Bee Pollen both contain all of the essential amino acids allowing your body to build the protein it needs without your system becoming over-protein-ized, which is very detrimental and toxic.
And last but not least: GLUTEN. A gluten-free diet is necessary for life. ALL GLUTEN introduces a degenerating/inflammatory effect inside of the body. It becomes a neuro-toxin (in the form of a partially digested protein, which then wreaks havoc in the body, ie: alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, auto-immune disorders, etc,). Do your own research on gluten to find out why it should NEVER be put into your mouth.-

-The toxic chemicals in pharmaceutical drugs, processed foods, plastic containers, tap water, body care products, etc., etc., etc., create the same kind of body condition that advanced cancer and other chronic diseases cause. ALL human disease, disorder and toxicity have the same recovery requirement (which is) the highest and purest nutritional input combined with toxin elimination and ceasing exposure to toxins. Toxins are in everything: processed foods, laundry detergent, hair care products, make-up, tap water, plastic containers, linings in canned goods, non-stick cookware, aluminum cans, new carpet, amalgam fillings, room deodorizers–and the list goes on and on and on. The total daily toxic load on the average Earthling is simply too great for the body to function properly. Identify and remove the toxins from your home. Be diligent.
ALL vaccines should be avoided. I recommend that you visit www.VaccineResistanceMovement.org to educate yourself on vaccines. Pure liquid Vitamin D3 and oregano oil are the best preventions for flu and other infections [note: take 100 mcg's of vitamin K2 for every 1000 IU's of vitamin D3]. Probiotics repopulate the lower intestines with beneficial bacteria. 75% of the immune system is in the lower intestine where whatever is put into the body is transferred to the cells by your gut bacteria. There are extremely harmful side effects from vaccines–the worst (but least apparent) being a compromised immune system (tied to the gut trauma caused by vaccines). I don’t recommend ever seeing a doctor for anything except for physical damage (such as a broken bone or a laceration–injuries). All diseases and conditions can be reversed and prevented through high-density nutrition and toxin elimination.
If you are going to be healthy and happy and live a long, productive life you must completely rethink the way you live on a daily basis. The more you research and educate yourself the better off you will be. Of course, you must act on what you learn and, remember, half measures will get you only half results at best. We live in a cause and effect universe so the more you follow the guidelines outlined here the better your results will be. And the more you expose yourself to toxins, eat low-nutrition processed foods and run to the doctor for pharmaceutical treatments, the worse your results will be.
When you buy organic you take business away from commercial agriculture which is dumping millions of tons of pesticides and other toxins into the environment and dumping GMO pesticide producing bacteria into your body. When you are healthy you don’t need a doctor, or the toxic drugs he will prescribe, and this takes business away from the big drug makers who are also dumping millions of tons of toxins into the environment and into our bodies. By doing what’s good for you and your family you are contributing to a better world for yourself and for everyone. Sustainable agriculture, sustainable energy, sustainable economy, sustainable everything is the way of Light. The growth model is destructive. The sustainable model is productive. With an organic diet your grocery bill may increase slightly but you will no longer pay for doctors or medications and you will become healthy and happy and be able to enjoy life to the fullest. You can't just eat till you feel like you've had enough because your belly isn't used to the volume. You have to count every calorie and make sure you are getting at least 3000 calories if you are an adult male. Eat mostly raw fruits and greens they are the easiest to digest and they don't cause any mucus or much stress in the body. Greens have the least calories per pound, then fruits, then tubers, then grains, and finally beans. So your priority for calories should be 1st-fruits 2nd-tubers 3rd-grains, 4th-beans, and have your greens on the side. Leafy greens are the easiest to digest and don't cause problems in large amounts like 5 heads of lettuce, kale and broccoli and other greens do cause problems in higher amounts but are perfect in smaller amounts. If you were born eating only healthy - natural sugars up until this day it wouldn't be an issue however when you factor in the point that most people haven't been so lucky in the modern day there is a possibility of an individual having candida which in turn would be fed by so many natural sugars in a fight to survive?

Chlorine kills bacteria, and we need bacteria to survive. There's natural fluoride in lots of fruits and vegetables and it is not harmful to you, but fluoride in water is obviously poison (literally a toxic waste product from commercial aluminum production). You can see the concentrations of everything in your tap water on your water companies website, they are required to put it on there by law (if its not there check your cities website). They don't really filter the municipal water much, they just purify it so no one gets bacterial and viral infections. If your water is fluoridated then even carbon filters don't remove that, unfortunately.
As far as the carbon filter thing for distilled water: it's not to filter the water, but to rearrange the molecular structure.

Free The Animal (the author is a pal of sorts with Mark) has some great info about good grains and oils and the like.
Some of Mark's stuff is for fatties trying to lose weight, not skinnyfags like us trying to gain lean muscle mass.
a case against keto: truth is even "meat only" races like the inuit get carbs from the animals they slayed. fresh kills still have carbohydrates in the form of glycogen in the cells which is why they chomped on the skin and ate as much as possible when they killed a whale or seal. when the animal has been dead for a while, those cells have used up their last stores of the energy, no more carbs.
If you are skinnyfag, balance your macros with protein, eat slow carbs and good fats, eat clean and train hard brah. seems like you already do much of that. no keto or intermittent fasting programs tho, they only steal your gainz.
I notice training hard makes me more hungry by the way, saw you were having trouble throwing down 3000 calories and I have the same problem. I try to spread this out over a day and challenge myself with heavy duty strength exercise.

>>21190You should avoid polyunsaturated fats (canola oil, soybean, corn, vegetable, etc). Here's a good article on the topic.
http://raypeat.com/articles/articles/unsaturated-oils.shtmlInstead of polyunsaturated fats use saturated fats like coconut oil and beef tallow. Olive oil and macadamia oil are fine in moderation. Apart from that, I'd avoid pretty much every other oil. Most oils are polyunsaturated. This means try not to eat at restaurants or fast food at all because they use polyunsaturated oils, they're cheaper. You have to avoid many processed foods like store-bought potato chips and most condiments as they're usually cooked in a PUFA oil or contain PUFA oils as an ingredient. Go look at your tomato sauce, mayonnaise and other sauces in your fridge/cupboard. Chances are you'll find vegetable, canola, corn or some other PUFA oil in the ingredients list.
Polyunsatured fat is of course, not only in oils but natural foods like nuts and fish. This is not nearly as much as a problem. If you like nuts and fatty fish, feel free to continue eating them just don't go overboard and eat tons everyday. Avoid the highest PUFA nuts as listed here
http://paleoleap.com/are-nuts-and-seeds-healthy/On the topic of ketosis, it's not an optimal state for the human body to be in as evidenced by no tribe in history ever being in it, including the inuit. Fat isn't the perfect energy source like keto idiots make it out to be.
What do I suggest as a diet? A diet based on lots of milk, fruit, eggs, occasional liver, shellfish and optional gelatinous meat. 2L milk and 1L orange juice covers a lot of needs. If these foods work for you, you can make them the basis of your diet.

That adds a lot of baseline energy. I really want to gain lots of weight though and start fasting, I also received instructions in the astral (fuck, I was out there a VERY LONG TIME today) to heal stuff that goes like this:
>1. Focus on your body parts.>2. Shift around the focus some and back to the body part you want to heal and also to the body parts connected to it that need to support the health of that part.>3. When you achieve an awareness entirely of just the specific parts you want, start some serious emotional alchemy, and feel intense love.>4. Send the love to those body parts and know that they are healed.>5. Keep it up for as long as you can, enjoy being healed.I could have been in the astral so much longer if I avoided this one part of my house btw. For some reason this particular part of my house keeps destroying my connection to the astral if I enter it and I don't know why. >My dietAccording to what I've read on almost all the dietary advice I've read thus far, it's been my overconsumption of bread that's driven me to this weight. I eat my mother's cooking and everything she cooks is a stew (she's sudanese) which I've always eaten with bread. I imagine that if I'd eaten it with rice like every other person does in the "motherland" that I probably wouldn't be at this weight. I've also had a habit of boredom-eating (snacking on biscuits, fast food, making peanut-butter sandwiches, etc.) for a while now.
Even though everyone here talks about wanting to build weight, I've never seen anyone touch junk food–rather–you all seem to condemn it. Since I've built my weight up primarily with bread, is it possible that I've merely built up "bad" loosh? The loosh equivalent of diesel in the sense that it's horribly inefficient?

You've got to unlock the potential in your fat. Maybe with a change of diet you can start eating tons of food while also burning the fat on you for tons of energy.
Then you can use it for magick of all sorts.
I wonder if you stored up fat because of your body trying to save you from toxins from stress, negative emotions; and pesticides, preservatives, and other crap in your diet and so on.
If you do fire meditation, that is going to burn mad energy. I don't even need to do any physical exercise at all, meditation seriously raises my body temperature, and causes most of my energy to be expended. I try to eat several thousand calories today and still don't have energy for actual exercise really.

I have a story to tell. Back on Monday, I was feeling like crap. I think I'm pre-diabetic (type II). It's from a life of eating junk food. I'm not that much overweight, I'm 185lbs at 5'11", but not really muscular, just have a bit of a gut.
So I quit all junk food, sugar and bread, and cut back on the meat. I fasted during the day, and and have been eating around 1200 calories a day split between a meal in the evening, and a piece of fruit in the morning. I've only been drinking water and coffee with no cream/milk. My meals have been salads, steamed vegetables, and lean free-range chicken or salmon. On Thursday, I fasted completely and didn't eat at all.
Yesterday, I was feeling a lot better health wise than I did at the start of the week.
And then it happened when I went to sleep on Friday night. I had the most intense, vivid dream I've ever had. It was like super high fidelity, high resolution. It was like more real than real life.
By starting on this diet, did I begin to cleanse my pineal gland?

>>18275The diet Ray Peat recommends is nothing like Atkins. It is a high sugar (mostly in the form of fruit), low starch diet. Sugar and especially fructose have been unfairly demonized by the Atkins people.
It is also relatively high in protein, but Peat encourages getting protein from other sources than muscle meats, such as milk and gelatin, and occasionally some liver or oysters. These have less of certain amino acids, the restriction of which may extend your life. Milk also happens to be considered an extremely sacred food in Ayurveda, and also praised in the Bible and the Koran.
"Milk is for baby cows" is a good example of the 'appeal to nature' fallacy. Most of the claims that vegans and paleo people make about milk, such as that it 'leaches calcium from the bones' do not withstand scrutiny. Milk is actually an excellent source of calcium. It also inhibits the absorption of iron, which is something we get too much of. Peat also recommends strictly avoiding unsaturated fats (even some meats like chicken and pork are a significant source of unsaturated fat). Coconut oil is preferable.

Milk as it is the first food setup with all the necessary enzymes for a baby animal to fully utilize all the nutriments and establish good gut flora for they later food.
Cows are herbivores with four stomachs.
We are omnivores with one.
Every time you drink cows milk your gut has to adjust too it to absorb any nutrition (which it does poorly) then it has to fight to adjust to your more natural food sources.
Its not as if cows milk doesn't have great nutritional content but we cannot access it because we aren't cows and the enzymes for integrating the milk are not compatible.
