What should the DEFAULT FLAG BE?
Right now it's an anonymous mask. We could also make it the fig, to indicate the poster is a newfig here. …or we could make it something else.
ITT: Discuss site changes, new flags, the default flag, etc.

I think anonymous is good default flag.
Personally I only like to use flags to make a point or to accentuate a post with a paradigm so anonymous is nice and blank for a default. Being a neophyte cus you're not using a flag is silly imo.

neophyte flag to the "Newfig"?

Default should be either anti-flag or green pill, they are generic enough to fit any post. The green pill wouldn't fit for the trolling fedoras, but they don't really matter.

I know, it's associated more with the Mayans but I read that Toltecs have also used this symbol.

Can we get a Yogi flag? I'm thinking a simple shiva staff like pic related would do the trick.
Yoga isn't hinduism lol but shiva is an image who's known as the lord of Yoga, so it seems fitting.

>>28777I like the little Trishula symbol!
I dunno about the little person with their hands up lol it reminds me of new age wishy washy yogi's.
No.28982
>>28777I have added it now although I'm not really sure it belongs in the Oriental category. Isn't Yoga not really oriental but something discovered by all peoples independently? Europe has always had its own yoga.
No.28983
>>28982Yup, Hinduism tries to claim yoga as an offshoot of itself (even though the term "Hindu" refers to a geographic location and not a single distinct religion), but most cultures in the world have developed their own form of Yoga.
The most basic definition is: A method, or science, of attaining Union of the individual with the divine/absolute through the control and direction of the mind, subtle energies, and physical systems. (Anyone is free to dispute my definition but this isn't my opinion, but is the essential teachings.)
Christianity had its own form of yoga, Islam has a style of it, and Buddha was a yogi. The form of Indian yoga known today has its roots in the teachings of self-realization, trantra, and meditation taught by masters living lives of seclusion and scientific spiritual inquiry in the Himalayas.
If you look into the history of most of the well known masters of yoga, they are all students of these unknown Himalayan masters. That area of the world has been a centre of spiritual development and inquiry since longer than we have records for. The yogic systems eventually became merged with and connected to the Indian Vedanta philosophy and the various forms of deity worship and ritual practice.

>Hinduism tries to claim yoga as an offshoot of itself (even though the term "Hindu" refers to a geographic location and not a single distinct religion)Yes, Yoga school was a system of belief that arose beside the Samkhya and Advaita Vedanta schools. It would be nice if we had flags for those two, but I don't have a submission for them now.
Yoga school can be further broken down: Raja Yoga (mental concentration/Samadhi), Jnana Yoga (rational inquiry), Karma Yoga (helpful action), and Bhakti Yoga (love yoga).
I think the Yogi flag fits me the best so far.
I definitely got started out in the spiritual path with yoga, and I think it's so far one of the easiest ways to initiate people into the wonderful world of all things /fringe/.

At least I got to "help" you. I've been wanting you to notice my loosh. I have been thinking of ways to passively contribute to your wizardry
until my own affairs come knocking at the door; I just did some tulpa evocation and immediately after I met a yoga student who looks like her and has the same solar zodiac .
Flag cycling is the best.
I've been swip swapping flags to match the essence of my post.

It should be the hammer. Not Mjölnir, but a banhammer; to signify a newfag or someone who is in the desire to be banned for lulz. Easier spotting for mods too.
