The rules are simple and only apply to the creation of threads on /fringe/:
1. No duplicate threads of topics that already exist unless the previous thread has hit the bump limit.
2. No making threads just to ask questions, actually present substantial information if you're going to make a thread.
3. No creating new threads purely to no-effort shitpost (you will be forgiven if it's a major GET).
4. Post threads that fall under the subject matter of /fringe/ (creepypasta FYI generally does not fall under /fringe/'s very broad subject matter, look at the sticky to see what subjects we discuss on /fringe/).
5. Posting with proper flag rule is being re-instated.

I was going to make a thread once I got enough information. I still don’t have enough information but I will try to write it up anyway because in occult studies or day-to-day life, learning to memorize and remember things better has immeasurable use. I'll rewrite it in a few months

Most mundane sources on how to improve your memory is to use a memory palace the method of loci (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Method_of_loci) to improve your memory, which involves encoding information you want to remember.

‘’’From Wikipedia:’’’

> In this technique the subject memorizes the layout of some building, or the arrangement of shops on a street, or any geographical entity which is composed of a number of discrete loci. When desiring to remember a set of items the subject 'walks' through these loci in their imagination and commits an item to each one by forming an image between the item and any feature of that locus. Retrieval of items is achieved by 'walking' through the loci, allowing the latter to activate the desired items.

Atkinson regards this and other mnemonics as tricks. His books describe the subconscious store house, your internal memory where every experience and moment of your life is recorded forever. In these books dedicated to memory, Atkinson describes cultivating your natural memory by improving your concentration and develop immense interest in what you want to remember. He also includes practical exercises to improve the memory of your senses to help you when acquiring mental impressions (both books are 120+ pages with < 20 pages of actual info). As far as improving natural memory, along with Atkinsons books there are techniques in the meditations superthreads. These are said to improve holographic and photographic memory. These are Meditations 12, 13, 15 and 16 as well as Meditation #26. (Provided)

Eidetic Memory

A real point of interest is the eidetic memory guide that some of you might have seen in other threads. The author is using the method of loci to remember things but goes one step further by using servitors (he calls them tulpa) to memorize and retrieve information from his memory palace when he needs it using the method of loci. This is implied to give him a perfect memory and allow him to :

>absorb information like a sponge

>memorize recipes to impress friends and family with a recipe I see happen once.

>have the entire CS Lewis collection memorized and could rewrite it from nothing

Etc.

Unfortunately this guide omits the part on how to create and program a servitor to do all that automatically. Can anyone help by describing their guide to make a servitor and then how to program it to memorize in this thread? This way we can finally complete the guide for any future use.

Feel free to post any esoteric, magickal or even mundane guides, methods and books to help the community with memory improvement.

It's Similar to what Atkinson wrote in his books. Cultivating a very intense interest (pouring loosh into your actions) into what you're trying to remember is a good way of making sure it will stick.
