In a couple of months, I will be visiting some family in Arizona. While I'm there, I will be going to Casa Grande with a buddy of mine to check out a place called "the domes", an electrical factory from the 70s that was abandoned due to lack of funding by the company. Since then, occult activity has allegedly taken place and has been deemed haunted according by locals.

Since then, I've been doing some more reading on the place and eventually ran into videos of people staying in the area doing EVP surveys to see if they could capture any sort of communication with the demons which inhabit the area, namely, a Steve Huff, who has his own channel dedicated to paranormal study. Recently, he's released an app called The Portal which he claims is essentially the same as the equipment he's used, albeit lower quality.

I decided to download it and try it out for myself, seeing if I could capture anything considering that I'm (somewhat) convinced that a demonic presence follows me where ever I go and has been for about 3 years. After some playing around with it, I've concluded that the reversed audio plays no matter what every few seconds with intelligent responses to questions or activity. According to Huff (as I understand it) the application is made up of reversed audio files of common words and phrases and is played in reverse to eliminate false positives and in theory, the spirits nearby is able to use the radio frequency and audio to manipulate it and form a response. I don't fully understand it, but I've played around with it for a while and have gotten some bazaar responses.
First, I asked it what my name was, immediately after, I heard my name very distinctly, trying to be aware that I may trick myself into hearing what I want, trying to remain skeptical. I then asked how many of them were with me. I asked this two times and then heard "three of us are here."
I wasn't frightened as much as I was surprised at what I was hearing. I decided to call my buddy up to discuss our plans for the trip, telling him about this app I've found. Half-way through the conversation, I told him to be quiet for a second so I could show him the app. I turned it on and in the midst of reversed gibberish, I distinctly heard "The domes are evil."
That's when I had enough.
Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, because I know I am. Is this app even legit? I wish I knew more about it. How it is coded, how it works, if there are any tricks being played.
Lately, I've been interested in demons, curious actually. My buddy and I have been hyped for this trip to the domes to see what it's all about. He's frightened to go, but I'm genuinely curious as to what we will encounter. On an off note, is there anyone here with a knowledge of demons and their behavior? How do they behave? What sort of things do they say? Why are they here? What are their attitudes towards humans? What do they look like? Are they friendly or malicious? So many questions.
