I can meditate and have lightning fall down where I am focused if the energy in the air is right. I have done, synced, and been shown (by someone unseen) how it's done a multitude of times now. My proof is the improbable chances of lightning striking around my house, literally back to back in different places during the two minutes I was deep in trance. Though the practice of meditating and chanting will always work and energize yourself. The problem however will be if you incorporate their practices you have very little knowledge on how to really use that energy only just to gather and attract it. But it's still a very good step. You will learn to control aura, and to feel other people their aura. I'm always hesitant to base any of my religious beliefs on "scientific" things; because I know that if the same experiment were false, I wouldn't accept it as proof that the thing being tested isn't real. It's always neat to see or experience something that confirms your beliefs, but relying on those experiences is a mistake. My memory is fairly fuzzy as it's been a few weeks since I've last experienced it. It felt like I was a single point of consciousness. I don't think I saw anything but it did feel like I was moving towards something at one point. I can't recall if I continued to feel the energy vortex but I do remember asking myself questions and thinking that it felt like the information was being beamed into me.

Unfortunately on the only 2 occasions that I can remember entering the state, I only lasted in it for what felt like 5 minutes before being jolted out of it by my cat. The last time occurred when I was just lying on my back in bed and the other was actually triggered when I became lucid mid-dream. Both times were spontaneous though and just kind of happened.

I really found the state to be quite comfy. I'm fairly good at putting my body to sleep but I just can't seem to snap away my awareness of it.

I don't know how else to describe it, so using popular culture I guess I would describe it has how a Sith or Grey Jedi 'meditates' – trying to become angry, holding it, feeling the pure rage and emotion in their mind, controlling it, etc.

I did one set of chaotic meditations like this naturally, a while back. I wonder if anyone has ever developed a proper set of them, though.
